Photo Flip Card / Free Instructions

June 26th, 2008

Photo Flip Cards are interactive mini photo displays with photos that flip back and forth when you pull and push a paper tab. Flip Cards are easy to make and lots of fun to operate. I demonstrated how to make a Flip Card on The Carol Duvall Show and you can click this link to download step-by-step instructions and photos.

The lower right Flip Card in the photo above fits inside an A-2 envelope and the two at the top left fit into a #10 envelope. You’ll find patterns and instructions for both envelopes in my book CARDS THAT POP UP, FLIP & SLIDE, along with instructions for the card itself.

This is great. You should have done it long ago, as you have so much to share.

I have made this numerous times, put it in altered books, photo albums and all kinds of fun stuff. Keep up the good work

I love this book!

On this card I reversed the flip mechanism to make a “push” tab instead of a “pull” tab. It stays in the same position as the card unfurls, which seems somewhat magical :)

Yo Carol -
I am delighted to hear you like my book ‘Cards That Pop-up, Flip & Slide’! I like your ‘push tab’ version of my ‘Flip Card’ - I’ve never made the card that way - thanks for sharing your simple and effective variation.

Michael (a 3-d kinda guy)
